From the list of credits from the title sequences of these movies, it is clear that the bigger budget High School films have a bigger production team than the smaller budget Youth Dramas. This may be because youth dramas tend to be made independently due to them appealing to a certain group of people in society. On the other hand, High School teen dramas are watched on a larger scale and therefore large film productions don't view them as risky to make as they will definitely make a profit.
