The
type of title sequence a film uses and the titles involved are
largely influenced by the type of movie, as well as the budget for the film. Independent
films with smaller budgets tend to have shorter title sequences, simply because
there are less people involved in the production of the film.
The film's title sequence tells a narrative and gives insight into the main characters and their circumstances. We are introduced to a victim, the bully, a mother and a friend all early on. This hints at the plot but doesn't give the whole story away which makes the audience want to watch the whole film.
